Mobilization against Militarization of Europe

This happens to be amongst the most pressing issues of the day, and one that has caught unprecedented global attention. The crux of the issue here is that the stationing of NATO troops and the militarization (or rather re-militarization) of Europe might not seem like a very big deal initially, but will end up having far-reaching consequences.

The slow and steady, yet highly strategic NATO encirclement will prove to be threat to world peace in the long run. Also, if Right Wing Fascists win elections and referendums in some of the most powerful countries of the world, a time will definitely be foreseen in the future when this will lead to a deadly global conflict. According to Tom, The world has been witness to the fact that before both the world wars, there was gradual but steady mobilization of armies, and nationalism propagandas, with the rise of fascists in various countries of Europe. Back then the United States was definitely not powerful as it was today, and the kind of nuclear technology that missile scientists have come up today, can transform the entire humanity into ashes with the press of a trigger.

Related Economic Crisis and the European Union

When the European Union was conceptualized in 2002 (from its rudimentary form- the European Monetary Union of Eurozone with 28 members states that adopted the Euro as their sole common currency) most nations adopted the Euro right away, but others kept using their national currency, and stating a definitive time period within which they would successfully make the complete transition from the same to Euro.

In recent times, a longstanding recession has hit most European Economies, and the very fabric of establishment of the European Union is being questioned now. Small businesses across the EU are in turmoil and many storage facilities are sitting full of abandoned stock which cannot be sold.  The situation is very tense ad volatile, especially with the exit of Britain. While the European Union as imposed the worst, fastest and most painful ways to make Britain go through a hasty exit, there is no doubt about the fact that other countries in the union are also contemplating the same. The prime reason for this is the devastating economic recession, and the best example one can quote here, is that of the insolvency of Greece. The fact that the country has not been able to pay its staggering loans back, has been of massive concern. If this gets coupled up with increase in the NATO-led militarization, this will lead to the annihilation of the peace, progress and well-being of Europe.
